Charges Policy

Archives of Community Medicine and Public Health (ACMPH) follows a transparent and fair charges policy to cover the editorial and publishing costs associated with maintaining high-quality open-access scholarly content. The journal does not receive external funding and relies on Article Processing Charges (APCs) to sustain its open-access model.

Article Processing Charges (APCs)

To support the costs of peer review, editorial processing, typesetting, archiving, and open-access dissemination, authors are required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) upon acceptance of their manuscript.

  • Standard APC: 1849 USD per accepted manuscript.
  • Discounts and Waivers: Available for authors from low-income countries or in cases of financial hardship (subject to approval).
  • Additional Charges: There are no additional fees for colored figures, supplementary materials, or length-based charges.

Waiver Policy

ACMPH is committed to supporting global research and offers waivers or discounts to authors based on the following criteria:

  • Authors from Low-Income Countries: Eligible authors from developing regions may request a partial or full APC waiver.
  • Exceptional Cases: Authors facing financial difficulties can apply for a waiver by providing a formal request with justification.
  • Editorial Decision: Waivers are granted at the discretion of the editorial board based on available funds.

Mode of Payment

Payments for APCs and other charges can be made through the following methods:

  • Bank Transfer: Details will be provided upon invoice generation.
  • Online Payment Gateway: Secure payment options are available.
  • Credit/Debit Card: Accepted for quick transactions.

Refund Policy

Once an APC has been paid, it is generally non-refundable, except in the following cases:

  • Duplicate Payment: If an author accidentally pays twice, the excess amount will be refunded.
  • Manuscript Rejection Before Payment Processing: If an author has made an early payment and the manuscript is later rejected, the APC will be refunded.

Additional Information

  • No Submission Fee: ACMPH does not charge any fee at the time of submission.
  • No Hidden Fees: There are no additional costs for revisions, figure adjustments, or supplementary data.
  • Open Access Commitment: The APC allows unrestricted access to published content, promoting knowledge dissemination.
